Abnormal Psychology (10-13-05)

The blinds are gone, replaced by thin, gauzy, cream-colored curtains, but the windows have been covered over with thick, black paint that flakes off if touched. The student's desks have been removed, and six small, round tables covered in white linen tablecloths and set for tea are in the room instead. If one were to open a teapot and look inside, there is black tea steeping within, and under covered plates are pastries for students to snack on. Each table has three chairs at it. The overhead lights are off, but floor lamps have been set up by each table, giving a small radius of light around each grouping of students.

"Some of you weren't here," says Drusilla, sitting cross-legged on top of her desk. "Not for a class or two, at least, and last week was cancelled because Daddy Angelus needed a clear space for his little project at the elections. Some of you had excused absences." She makes a little meowing sound, and laughs to herself. "Some of you probably forgot that you signed up for classes...or just vanished."

She hops off the desk and walks over to the blackboard, which is shattered and cracked except for one small square. Drusilla picks up a piece of chalk and begins writing. "Detention," she says, giggling to herself. "Such fun, such fun..."

The list of students with detention reads as follows: Anders ([Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]), Roy ([Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]), Carrie Bradshaw ([Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]), and Londo Mollari ([Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]).

After writing out the detention list, she pulls open one of her desk drawers and slips out a small, bound book. Were one able to look more closely at it, the page would have the names of the students who have attended each class. "Show up to class today and play along, and I may be nice enough to take your name off my list."

"Now," says Drusilla. "Let's have class. We're going to perform an applied exercise once you've all arrived and signed in. Those of you who want to apply to be my Teaching Assistant should fill out the form after we've begun the class exercise. Your answers will be kept private."

OOC: I asked yesterday if people minded if Drusilla hypnotized their characters. If you don't mind, and didn't get a chance to answer, please post in that thread and let me know if it's okay. Drusilla will not hypnotize anyone without OOC consent. Also, if you didn't show up to the last class, and you want to be hypnotized, you get whatever disorder Dru pulls out of her sick, diseased little mind.

Also, no harm will come to anyone who drinks the tea or eats the biscuits. It's ordinary food this time.

ETA: OOC Note: Today's class is important, so please post by tomorrow morning at the latest or Dru will schedule you for detention this weekend. And then she'll run detention. :)

Strangely enough when Draco walks into the classroom he feels at home. The room was set up like Trelawney's was at home. Though Draco likes Drusilla a lot better than Trelawney. She's way hot and not drunk all the time. He signs the roll sheet and grabs a cookie and wonders what they could possibly be doing today.

Drusilla comes over to Draco and smiles at him. "Good afternoon," she says cheerfully, then leans over to whisper in his ear. "Your hands are dripping with blood today, aren't they? How lovely." She straightens and hands him a piece of paper containing the definition of Narcissistic Personality Disorder on it. "Do you remember what we talked about in the last class?" she asks.

Drusilla's smile at Vala is tinged with glee at her wariness. "Hello," she says. "Not coming to see me in my lair home?" She hands Vala a paper containing the definitions of Delusional Disorder and Erotomania.

After a long shower and probably still smelling faintly of rotting corpses, Wednesday arrives slightly late for class. "My apologies, Professor," she murmured, helping herself to a cookie. "The Biology field trip ran slightly late."

"But such a delightful perfume," murmurs Drusilla. "I hope the trip was entertaining." She smiles at Wednesday and hands her a sheet of paper containing the definition of Dementia. "Do you remember our last class?"

She waits until Jack signs in and takes a seat. "I'm very disappointed in you," says Drusilla sternly. She holds up a piece of paper with the definition of Tardive Dyskenisia on it. "This is a neurological disorder, not a psychological one." She takes out a pen and writes "FAILED" on it in bright turquoise blue ink. "Would you like to make it up to me today?"

Duce walks into class and jauntily waves to Professor Drusilla. Snagging a cookie, she plops into her seat and slouches down, eagerly awaiting whatever fun and interesting assignment Dru's going to give them today.

OOC: Drusilla adores violence; the more, the merrier. I'd say the hypnosis would exacerbate the disorder, but to whatever level you want. :)

Drusilla waves back at Duce and goes over to her with a piece of paper bearing the definition of Intermittent Explosive Disorder. "Lovely answer," she says, sitting down and staring at the snakes on Duce's head.

"Oh," says Drusilla. "I didn't bring snacks for your snakes. That was rude of me." She pouts momentarily. "What do they eat?"

Sawyer comes in, desperately trying to spot out Boone but fails in that attempt; he can't say that he's alright with this class but this teacher gives him the chills.

Drusilla smiles and glides over to him. She hands him a paper with the definition of Munchausen's Syndrome. "You passed the last quiz," she says. "Now for the class exercise. How much do you remember about Muchausen's Syndrome?"

OOC: Dru is hypnotizing those who are willing OOC to have their chosen disorder for either the class period or the day (player's choice). If you don't want that for Sawyer, that's fine. Just let me know, okay?
