Drusilla is laying out Tarot cards in a spread as she sits in her parlor in the basement.

"You're here, that says quite enough." Cameron glared at her. This was definitely one of the worst ideas he ever had, but no one messed with his girlfriend damnit.

"What does it say?" asked Drusilla, looking amused at Cameron's glare. She turned and walked into her parlor. "Would you like a cup of tea?" she asked from inside.

"No," Cameron followed her, looking cautiously around for Sunshine. Calling her batshit crazy was probably a bad idea, but then this whole thing was already completely insane.

"You can not just mess with people's heads like that, it's wrong" he took a deep breath. That didn't sound half as impressive as he had rehearsed it. "And you do not mess with my friends."

Drusilla lifted one hand and snapped her fingers. The sound echoed sharply in the still air of the basement, and a tentacle roiled lazily through the doorway and into the room.

"Such a hero," murmured Drusilla, pouring herself a cup of tea. "Defending your love and your friends." Her smile was amused and her voice showed a lack of concern for Cameron's anger.


OOC: I'm sorry she's such a bitch! It's just...evil, y'know? Also, soulless, insane psychopath. :)

"I can imagine the concept is alien to you," Cameron replied, sounding more than a little bit worried as he noticed the tentacle.


((Bwahaha, go right ahead. He cam prepared btw.))

"Your imagination's faulty," says Drusilla. She sips her tea and stares up at him through curious, cold eyes. "Take it into the shop and repair it, or throw it into the dustbin and buy a new one."

The tentacle made its way slowly over to Drusilla, and she reached out her hand to pat it idly.

((Came prepared? Oh dear. Also, what did he bring for Sunshine? I'd think she'd get at least that out of his head.))

Cameron blinked. She could not be talking about Winona, now it was really personal. "I'll fix her myself," his tone might have been annoyed if he wasn't so busy keeping an eye on the tentacle.


((Noes! Not Winona! Err, he brought steak. That's about all the preparedness he could muster.))

"Shall you?" asked Drusilla. "With bits and pieces all hanging out to be strung up on the tree at Christmas?"

The tentacle moves away from Drusilla and starts slowly slithering toward Cameron.


((*laughing* Oh, no, poor Winona! I love the Winona subplot. Actually, Dru was totally not talking about Winona, but now that Cam's thought of her, she's focusing on that.))

"I can get her back together," Cameron nervously followed the tentacle's movement. He took the pack he was carrying in both his hands, ready to use it if necessary.


((Cam was so not following what Dru was saying and Winona is always on his mind so...))

"With sealing wax?" Drusilla snapped her fingers again and the tentacle settled quietly on the floor.

"What?" Cameron stared at her. He wondered how Vala could make any sense of those psych classes. He shook his head and decided to get to the point, with Sunshine calm, he felt more confident. "Okay, enough of this mumbo jumbo, because you're not making much sense. Here's the deal; you leave my friends alone, I leave you alone."

Drusilla laughed. "You want to cut cards?" she asked, then pointed at the package in his hand. "Come to confront the teacher in her lair with naught but sweetmeats to calm the the beast?" She put her teacup in its saucer and pushed it to the side.

"If you want to deal, lay your cards out for all to see."



((Raw steak? She can so smell it.))

"I said I'd bring Sunshine a snack, didn't I? I stick to my word." Cameron grimaced and opened the pack, dumping the steak on the ground. "Like I'm sure that the Dean will be interested to hear what you do to his students."


((Oh man. He's done it now, hasn't he? Hope that reply works and feel free to whump him a bit.

Question; Cameron is for now keeping this conversation a secret. Could Drusilla be tempted to tell Vala about his little visit in class?))

"More than empty air," said Drusilla.

The tentacle curled around the steak and whisked backward, out of the room.

"My darling pet is pleased," she said. Drusilla tapped the fingers of one hand against the table. "You'd blackmail me? Tell Dean Bristow I'm a bad, naughty girl who needs to be punished? And in return, what? Never let the ocean lap at their feet again?"

"In return, you back off and leave my friends alone." Cameron said, feeling bolder as the tentacle disappeared out of the room. "Sounds fair, no? You don't get us in trouble, we don't get you in trouble?"

Drusilla's eyes gleam triumphantly. "Blackmailing a teacher?" she asks. "That's very big trouble."

"So is messing with your students' heads." Cameron replied, but he shifted nervously, his boldness seeping away a bit.

"I've been properly chastened," said Drusilla. "No more merry-go-rounds or funhouses to be had until next I'm bored." She leaned forward, still tapping her fingers on the table. "Do you think I'd let a student box me in? I'd never hear the end of people wanting tales from me then."

"I'm discrete?" Cameron watched the last of his confidence flee away and he took a step backward.

"Not so much in pieces if you're here with me," says Drusilla. "Time to take your medicine like a good little boy."


((Let me know when he either reaches the doorway or turns around to look at it. BTW, did you want to be blackmailed into being my TA, or just into applying for it? Because it'd be fun if you got stuck being my TA.))

"You know? I'm feeling really great right now. I don't think I need any medicine. Nope, very healthy." Cameron said as he took another step back, ending up with his back against the doorframe.


((You know, I think it'd be great fun to get him stuck with that job. Especially considering how he doesn't have a clue about anything psych related.))

Were Cameron to turn around, he would see several tentacles blocking the doorway. "Silly lad," says Drusilla. She stands and walks over to a little writing desk. On top are several sheets of paper that she sorts through. "Trying to blackmail a teacher would earn you several weeks of detention." She turns around and comes to hand him a piece of paper.

"Or you could apply to be my teaching assistant," says Drusilla brightly.
